I have a 1991 (late model so 1992 basically) 180e, the cheap-ass version of the 190e. Its essentially the same as the 1.8l 190e just with fewer options, it drives well and was free so im not complaining.
Anyway theres only a few little things wrong with it that arent really worth paying a mechanic to fix. One of the most irritating is that the clear plastic in front of the guage cluster is a bit fogged up with condensation and is mildly irritating. Is it a supremely difficult job to remove that plastic? Do i have to tear apart the whole dash? Is it too much for me to do alone?
The gear shifter (auto) is a little loose aswell, it kinda jiggles. Apparently i just need to replace the bushings but again is that too much of a job for a newbie?
Also i was wondering what offset i need for the new rims i intend on buying? That brings me to my next question what kind of rims would especially suit this car? Any photos of some good ones?
I had these in mind as im a big fan of multi-spoke rims.
