1993 140 chassis 119 broken oil pump
 
I have a complaint of insufficient oilpressure. I removed the lower oil pan an d the oil pump is physically broken. A tooth sheared off one of the gears and came out the pump housing.................anyone seen this before ?

Any one missing a valve stem keeper........??

That is what I found in the motor...........a valve stem keeper. It doesnt appear to be from this engine.

VERY interesting. About 3 years ago we lost an engine in our 93 400E due to the oil pump failing. A tech came in from corporate and did an autopsy on the engine. Said he found a valve keeper in the oil pump. Lucky you caught it before you hit the big time. :eek:
