I'm having a problem with the vacuum booster, apparently it doesn't create enough of a suction. There is a line leading into the vacuum booster from somewhere, but I can't see where or what it is. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, the booster is the thing that HOLDS vacuum for the brake assist. It doesn't create vacuum. That is done by the vacuum pump. You will have to check the pump for proper operation.
