190e 2.3: Connection between engine temp
... and engine timing? I read somewhere that the engine temperature sensor contributes to the engine timing via the ECU? Is this correct?
I am hunting down why the old 190e continues to ping even in relatively mild temperature days (50-60 degrees) Haasman |
IIRC the 3.0 and 2.6 have a lower CR (9.2) than the 2V 2.3 (9.0:1), but the 2.3s larger bore will increase the tendency to detonate.
Assuming you're using 87 PON fuel, you may have no choice but to use 89 if there is more than just occasional transient detonation. Duke |
