I have just purchased a 1985 300CD Turbo. My first MB. I have already found this site very useful and want to thank those responcible for keeping it up. I do have one thing I could use some help on. The door lock knobs are broken and I can't seem to find them on the parts sites. Does anyone have a part number for them? The car is equiped with the vacunm actuated locks. These knobs are small black plastic pieces kind of in a V shape.

Wecome to the board, and congrats on your 300CD purchase. Pretty cars.

Sounds like a dealer part. Caliber is great but I think it good to buy parts from your local dealer now and then to develop a relationship. Then you can check out things on their computer screen now and then. My dealer is very helpful and completely understands that I'm not going to buy everything from them.

Agreed and I use my local too but they encourage me to shop around. They also give me the MBCA discount on parts AND labor.
