c230 99' starter and tierod assembly replacment????
 
has anyone idea how to replace the starter and the center link for the tie rod assembly on c230 merz kompressor 1999 i am having hard time separating the ball joints for the tie rod assembly any input would be appretiated my phone contact 801 949 6926 i need it replaced now thanks to everyone dragan

I did the center link on my 98. I had a couple of challenges doing it. I would not say it is a beginner project. (not saying you are a beginner, but I don't know your skill level). As far as getting the tie rod ends seperated from the steering knuckle, my problem was I didn't have a tie rod end tool small enough and none of the local auto parts stores did either. I had a pickle fork but I didn't want to use it. Finally I found some smaller tie rod end tools. Then there is the matter of the idler arm and pittman arm joints. Then there is the matter of the alignment.

but how did you separate the joints on the center link to the tierod ends i need to replace the whole tie rod assembly and the starter thanks mike
