bought a used 560 SL and flashers and turn signals don't work.
i want to check fuses before i get alarmed. can anyone tell me or point me to a good source of info for a first time MB owner? hesh |

The fuses are behind the "door" on the passenger side footwell. I think the flasher itself is in the console below the radio. There are still paper manuals available for that car!

I might have the solution...
Try pressing the red "hazard" button in the centre console. Make sure it's in the "off" position.
In my wife's 560SL, if you put something on the console, it will put the switch in a "mid-way" position between on and off. In this position, the turn signals don't work. Flick this switch on, then back off, and see if you still have the problem. Even if this isn't the problem, periodically check this switch. I've driven around with no turn signals for a few days before.. the turn signals are too quiet in this car, so you don't know when they stop working! Neal
