If I understand correctly, which their grammer is piss poor, is this some sort of adapter to allow the w124 to receive other shifter knobs that it normally couldn't receive. Am I right? Has anyone installed or seen one of these?

Hooked,

The W124 and W201 have shifter knobs that are molded onto the shaft. To install a custom knob or later Mercedes threaded knob, you replace the old shifter with a threaded shaft.

That said, the price in that listing is pretty high. I believe they are available for around $15-20 at www.slaccessories.com or www.************************

You obviously misread the details. He is selling seaweeds.

How he got the word seaweeds from the word adapterstick, is beyond me. He might want to consider using another translation service; or befriend someone who knows more English.

This is the result of a german to english babelfish translation.

Just on a lark I fed the German into the babelfish to see what it would come up with..

Sure nuff.... it was the text on the page.

My favorite line is

"eBay I, forwarding expenses you
Much fun with the Auction!!!"
