1989 300se
 

I am a "new" mercededes owner, 6 months ago I purchased a 1989 300se with 201, 000 miles. Very nice condition, could be the perfect car in my opinion. Except, I have a noticeable vibe in the car, I replaced the flex disc and it became worse.
So I know it is in the drive shaft somewhere. Anyone else have a similar experience?

RPM or road speed related?

Look for some posts by 'LarryBible' with the words 'driveshaft'

Driveshaft center bearing support, maybe.

I would inspect the motor mounts, I bet they are caved in and crushed...


BEWARE!

If you replace them, you will never step out of your car again! Yes, it is that good!

Well, it seems to be speed related. Roughly around 55mph is where it seems to vibrate. I will change the mounts first, unless anyone has a better idea. thanks.

Before you replace them, just try to inspect them, you will be able to tell if they are broken. :)
