Ok, this is a strange one. My ’84 300E class is making a sort of high rate “ticking” sound somewhere behind the driver side dash. The weird thing is that it goes away when either the right or left turn signal is on, or the brakes are depressed. Once the turn completes (or the foot is off the brakes), then the sound returns. Another strange thing this is that when the turn signal goes on, the “Bulb Out” flashes with the turn signal (actually just out of phase with it). Again, when the turn is complete, the “Bulb Out” doesn’t go on any more. If the lights are on, the "Bulb Out" indicator glows, but I have yet to discover the bad bulb. Gee…could it be an electrical problem???? But where do I start? Any help would be appreciated.

Thought the 300E came out in 1986.
