Smile 92 300E Shock Replacement-What Kind?

What brand would you recommend for shocks for my 92 300E? I would like a smooth ride more than a firm, jarring ride. I owned an 89 300E previously and installed Boge shocks which seemed to work fine. Any suggestions?

Bilstein

There must be a million posts that recommend Bilstein shocks. They are awesome shocks and they are guaranteed for life. Bilstein has comforts, heavy duty, and sport shocks. It sounds like you would be happiest with the comforts. They are like the OEM. The heavy duty shocks will firm up the ride and may improve the handling. The sports are for a lowered ride height and they are firm like the heavy duty shocks.

I think it might be like always going back to that same bad relationship with an ex girlfriend.
You feel you love them too much, or you are just too stupid to know any better.

i've searched this myself, maybe summer project if emission passable. If not,bye bye Benz.
Worldpac sells different types KYB,Boge,Bilstein comfort ,HD
while
Autohauz sells only one kind Boge Automatic 54$ each.no alternative listed.
they seems to know their stuff.

I wasnt impressed with the Bilstein Comfort I installed in the front iniitally.Only now 6 months later are they risen to the correct heights and less bouncy.Initially they made the car sl lower and more bouncy like a Buick.
