Check engine light 95 E 320
After going through some major puddles, my check engine light has come on.
The car runs fine. Is there a way to remove the light by jumping out some terminals on the diagnostic plug. |
Try resetting it first by removing your negative battery terminal for a few minutes. Make sure you write down your radio code first. If it comes back on after a few driving cycles then you got to do a little more investigating.

The way to remove the light is to remove the light bulb - but you shouldn't do that. You should check the codes on the diagnostic module to find out why it came on. It's very easy to do with the pushbutton LED counter on the 16 pole diagnostic connector, located near your battery. There's plenty of stuff on this in the archives. In this case you don't need the code tester - you just hold down the button with the key "on", count the number of flashes, then find a list of the DM codes, also available in the archives. You can also erase the codes with the button. First thing to do is read the code(s), then erase the code(s) and see if they come back.
