Hi,
I own a 1995 C280. The car was recently repaired from a wreck - it was hit in the right rear side and a whole new right rear door was put on. Anyhow, a reoccuring noise occurs in the right rear area of the car. When I start the car up in park, it will start up and repeats over and over (sound like an electrical problem or somehting filling up or engaging over and over). It also occurs in Drive and Reverse gears, but will usually go away after five mintutes. Rarely, I start it up and I won't hear it. Does anyone know what this could be - I was thinking along the lines of fuel line or locking system, but wasn't sure and wanted to get some info on it before taking it in. Thanks, Troy |
In the right rear of the car, there is a vaccum pump that works the door locks and gives vacuum assist when needed. I have heard many of them do this...It means that you have a vacuum leak somewhere in the car. Could be in the climate control system or in the engine or door locks.
