i posted the other day for a hard start problem. it was suggeted i check my fuel pump relay, i did, it works as designed. briefly my problem is continuous cranking until the engine starts, then idles badly, then is actually driveable. my initial cold fuel pressure is about 35 lbs. i'm told it should be around 65 lbs. cost of a new fuel pump is about $200. before i spend, is there anything else i should check.
engine pressure - when the engine is running, oil is being forced out the oil cap. when i take the cap off there is a sigh of relief from the engine. what could cause this pressure, it is fairly substantial coming out the oil cap hole. this is my first mb. thanks, john e |
