94 E500 Brake Info Needed
Hi all. I will be replacing my front rotors/pads soon and most online places including our host ask which chassis group the car belongs to (up to B930494, or from B930495). Where can I find the chassis number on a W124? I was told on the front radiator support and I found a metal plate with a whole bunch of numbers that I cannot decipher. My E500 was manufactured in 05/94 according to the sticker in the drivers door jamb. Thanks in advance.

Ozzy is correct about your chassis info. Beyond that, you look at the last six digits in the VIN to determine which group you belong to. The notation is -B930494 and B930495-, meaning "up to" and "after".

Ok, got it. Thanks guys. The cars's VIN and chassis number ends in C151XXX according to the VMI so it belongs to the last group. Thanks again, appreciate it.
