Need recommendation on 86 300e corner lights

Looking at two clear corner lights on ebay. Can any of you recommend one of these....? Any others?

I have the clear corners from ProCar parts, and I'm very happy with them ( fit & finish ). ;)
The " smoke " lights look very nice too.

The other ones are called " crystal clear " corners &, in my opinion look pretty cheesy.

Manny...
I cant figure out which one would look better...the crystal clear ones...or the more frosted one from proparts.... you have a picture of your car with the propart ones....?

Thanks...

Sorry, I don't have pictures YET.
As soon as the weather gets more spring-like, and I install my nice wheels, I'll post some.
To me. the crystal clears just look too honda-like. ;)

What's wrong with the ones on the car now?

The clear ones look like something a highschool kid puts on his car.

If you want to change them, find the factory 'world' corner lights that are a darker color than the US lenses.

Clear corners ( NOT crystal clear ) are standard on european models. ;)

Actually, the dark orange ones were on the early 124's - later in the production run the clears were standard. Here's a photo of some different corner lenses:

They were dark orange in the rest of world (not only Europe) until 1993/4 (depending on market) when MB facelifted the car. Even the updated 124 tailights were not totally clear. Seem to be yellow on the back half, unlike the aftermarket ones which look, well aftermarket.

Actually that yellow you are seeing in the tailight is the bulb. The taillights are clear (maybe a little gray) on top. I put silvervision bulbs in mine to get rid of the yellow showing through.

I am very conservative but really like the "crystal" clear - have clears now. I really depends on what color the car is - always disliked the smoked corners until a forum member showed a pic of his black 124- it was awesome

I had the regular clear from Performance Products on my 86' 300E. I had to reuse the original sockets in the housing, as the plugs weren't an exact match, so be careful taking off the old ones just in case. I really liked the look on my white car. At least I think I got them from Perf Prod, but don't see them on their website.......about $60 for the pair, I recall.....

I had to do the same with sockets - mine were off ebay for ??$28 or something. Not OEM but been installed for over a year. I figured if they blew off  or something just put the old ones back on.

I replaced the soild yellow lenses with one for the late model (94-95 yellow stipe). The aftermarket clear lenses look like high school kids would install on their FWD cars.
