Heater hose leak near brake fluid tank!!!
My son was driving the 94 E320 home when steam came out of the engine bay and he turned the car off. There is a heater hose that comes off the rear of the engine and is clamped onto a black plastic 3 spoked feeder tube that is attached with another hose to the under dash metal tube that connects to the heating element. At close inspection, this plastic spoked tube is cracked where the heater hose is clamped on, much like the radiator plastic connectors which fail only much thinner. How do I identify this plastic connecting tube? Is this a known failure, (I have 111k miles on the car.) This looks like a cheap design.....has anyone replaced this before? Thanks.

If you call Phil from parts shop at the top of the page, I bet he can locate the part for you.
