Refinshing Zebrano

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to update you all on how my refinishing is going.

I just finished stripping it of it clear plastic like coating and stain.

I have now appiled the new stain and I am currently waiting about 6 hours until the next coat.

Please tell me what you think...

I have included pictures of when I tried all of my paint products with some very nice gloss producing results!

PICTURES ARE IN DETAILING THREAD! THANKS!

Home depot has a 2 part gel epoxy coating that I refinished my wood with. It looks outrageous. I would not use traditional polyeurethane. the finish stinks by comparison.
My refinished bits look better than new.
Its the same finish as table tops in resturants.

ken_xman - did you do a write up on your refinishing project? i would like to refinish my wood and it sounds like you are happy with the results you got. did you tape off the switch holes and do the switches sit flush with the panel?

thanks

I took off all the plastic bits and was just working with the raw wood. The gel coating was actually poured on , and it self levels...pretty cool.
I tried to upload a pic, but my pic files are too large.
