1985 190e Component Location

Hi Yall!!! I just bought an old 190e and have yet to recieve my shop manual. Can anyone tell me the exact location of the coolant temp sensor in the engine compartment?? I am having cold start issues...frm the searches Ive done so far....looks like a OVP relay Or coolant temp sensor may be the culprit here.....car acts like the choke (for lack of a more accurate term) is inop...runs rough after numerous start attempts & then smooths on out after warm-up....I assume OVP relay is in the fuse box @ the firewall on left side.............a couple of Arkansaw jackleg wrenches were tinkering with the the fuel control before I bought it , so it could just be a wire off somewhere, but I have not found it yet.....................thx, Memphis Rod

I'd check the OVP first, it's over behind the battery (behind the black plastic shroud, assuming it's still there. Classic bad OVP description.

No problem Rod.
Unless you're really happy with how it's running, you might want to have the mixture set back up correctly (assuming the.....what'd you call them, jackleg wrenches? actually did manage to turn the mixture screw.) In the very least I'd screw out a plug in 1000 and see if it looks "healthy". You don't say if it's the 4 or 6 cyl. The 4 cyls especially are persnikity about mixture. Too lean and you melt the precats and wreck the engine. Too rich and you load up the precats and ruin the engine. Not a pretty sight. Been there, done that, still bear the emotional scars.
