Hi...the foglight lenses are cracked on my CLK. Anyone know how much these things go for and how hard (or easy) it is to change the lenses?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, J |

The lens is only $16.50 each & is fairly easy to replace.

You wouldn't happen to have any more info on how to replace it, would you?

This is done from underneath the car and can be accomplished in only a few minutes.
You will need a small ratchet, extension (about 10" will do) with a u-joint and a 7 mm socket (I think it is 7 mm). There are two screws holding the assembly in place. The entire essembly needs to be removed and there are 3 metal clips holding the lens in place. They slide off. Simply remove what is left of the old lens and pop in the new one. This is for the clk 320. |

If you have full glass coverage with your insurance company they will probably cover the cost of replacing the fog light and the labor and no deductable. Light lenses are usually covered but most people do not know this. One more thing, if you ever need new a windshield insist on MB glass only.
