Difference between 722.319 & 722.351 transmission
Would anyone know the difference between the 722.319 & 722.351 transmissions?
One WEB site I found indicates the 319 is for 1986-1989 300-SELs. This same site shows the 722.351 being used by 1990-1991 300SELs. germanstar.com shows the 722.319 being used by 1986-1991 300SELs. Arthur Dalton posted some info on 722.3xx and 722.4xx transmissions in the following thread. The 319 was not mentioned. 722.3/4 trans start gear [ 1st/2nd ?] I know how to locate my transmission # and knowing which 722.3xx I have isn't the issue. I'm curious about the difference between the 319 & 351. Thanks for your time.

The 722.319 doesn't have up-shift "delay" solenoid & plumming that the 722.351 has!
