Anti Roll Bars in w124

Hi all,

I was just wondering that do I have factory installed anti roll bars (anti sway bars) in my W124 230E 89 (euro model). The handling and cornering is pretty good especially when comparing my father's Nissan Sunny 1.8L 2004. Is this a standard option in all the cars?? How to check if they are installed? (front & rear)

More than likely they are stock. Here are some pictures of what the stock ones on a 300e look like:

Mercedes bars (the box is Eibach - bars are the original)

Do they look like these?

The pics I posted are the ones that should be installed on your 230e. If you look underneath the car, you will see the bars, one in the front and one in the rear. A lot of japenese cars don't have them. I don't think a Sunny which is known as a Sentra in North America would have them either.

shams, I'm 99% sure your car came with them stock, both front and rear.

Front, look under/near the front of your oil pan. You should see the bar and you can follow it from one side of the car to the other. For the rear, look for the bar near the differntial, again going from one side of the car to the other.
