Hello all,
Today I installed my bekkers euro headlights (in the snow). They look great but I need help with the 6 hole plug. When I turn on the lights normal, just the foglights work, then when I turn on the foglights and headlights, both work, when I just turn on the foglights, only the headlights work. I assume I have misplaced the fog and headlight plugs. I have a green, dark yellow, light yellow, and brown plug. Can anyone tell me how to wire them up to the 6 hole plug correctly? Is there a diagram I can look at? Thanks, Scott

I posted the procedure and pin conversion for rewiring the Euro plug earlier this year. Do a search for "Euro headlights" and "barrie". Let me know if you find it; otherwise I'll send you a copy.

not sure about the bulbs, if you plan on going over wattage you should rewire the lights. if going for normal wattage, then you probably want good quality bulbs. I'm sure if you search for lights you will come up with tons of info.

Scotty,
Good choice on the euro lights. I'll be ordering them from bekkers come this spring or possibly ask for them for a christmas gift. How was your experience with bekkers?
How much was shipping? Everything in your order correct?
I'm a little timid about ordering online and wondered if their site is secure.... Regardless, I too would love to see some picks of your car!!! I love to see another W201 driver with pride for his Mercedes!!!!!!!! Later

Good choice on the purchase of the Euro light assemblies. I've had them on my 190/5.0 for three years now and they are great. Because of the increased output quality they have the use of higher wattage bulbs is not necessary. I put
55/100 H4 bulbs in mine so as to not blind oncoming drivers on low beam. Some oncoming idiots think that although focused correctly they are being blinded because of the brightness. FALSE!! Good addition

This focusing is exactly my problem now. I have the drivers side headlamp aimed correctly, and the passenger lamp is fine when the brights are on but when on low beam I can't even tell where it is aimed and it is really dim. What do the three knobs do? I figured out that the middle one does the headlamp? The fog lights are aimed fine.
I'LL POST SOME PICS OF MY CAR AS SOON AS IT STOPS SNOWING HERE IN OKLAHOMA! The weather is really sucking right now. To see my car w/out euro headlights, visit, http://www.geocities.com/scotty-c_2000/ w/internet explorer.
SHYNE, my experience with Bekkers was wonderful. I didn't online order because I prefer to speak with someone directly but I'm sure they are secure. Everything together w/ shipping for euro headlights with orange signals (I have the clear already) cost me $450. It's worth it though. They smooth out the front of the car so well. Made by Bosch too. Even the box is straight from Mercedes. I received them in 3 days. I would recommend them to anyone. Later everyone, Scott
