The plastic piece taht connects to the back of the bulb on my W210 has mysteriously melted. I am assuming somehow the + and - touched, but that doesn't seem to be an obvious answer. Anyway, what probably caused this and how would I go about replacing this part? I went to the dealership and we couldn't find the part on their computer... Help!
TIA

There are some updated parts on this. I have seen them melt, and always it was a problem with the bulb. Some were too hot and caused the problem with the melted harness connector.
I'd bet that our parts dept can find this for you. Use the parts request form.
