Cool Lights

I saw some cool light on a MB in my company parking lot. He has retractable driving lights, they come down when he turns on his lights. The are like aircraft wheels. I don't know if they are custom or if you can buy them. I have called a few places for no good news. I have also seen a retractable license plate for motorcycles, maybe these gadgets are a current fad in customization.

280c Sleepy Eyes

280c, your probably right. Any headlight assembly that raises and lowers could be custom fitted to our cars. It does sound neat. Happy Trails Beep Beep from Houston.

Here is a great FAQ on Xenon Bulbs.

I hate them and want to kill those that have them. I just don't like them. Here is a good article. http://www.xenonlamps.com/xenonfaql2.html#q9

What counts in light is Foot-candles..

Watts Schmatts, If you want more light, nothing is like adding driving lights. Put almost any driving lights in addition to your headlights and you will see a huge difference. When I see headlights that are blue or whatever, they look totally goofey to me. I cannot image what $1000 headlights do for you, xenon, or not. My 1000 watt pressure sodium bulbs in my grow room are only $240 each. I would never pay big money for headlights without trying more lights first. Some Hella and PIAA lights are really bright.

Colored Headlight?

280c, your right, bright is watts. I don't have the x or p headlights, just old fashioned 100/80 watt 9004 headlights. I rewired my light system using 2 double contact relays suppied with #10 gauge wire. I also have an option to have both high beam and low beam on together when on high. Real road coverage. I'll stay as I am and won't blind the on coming driver. Happy Trails Beep Beep from Houston.
