116 (80 450SEL) Radiator Recore
 

Did a forum search and found some useful info.

I suspect I am looking at a replacing due to exterior corrosion of this original radiator. It's always had MB fluid in it changed out every 3 years.

Replacement OEM prices are around $850-950 (FastLane) :eek: . At that price, and considering this is NOT a collectable, I am going to visit my local radiator shop and see what they have to say. Hopefully a recore is within reach.

I know I need to be aware of the material (brass over aluminum for me), no plastic, number of cooling tubes is important. Other thoughts?
