You can check my threads previously, I had been having similar problems with my 95 W124.... first two times was ovp, then a fuel pump relay (or fuel pump relay was the first time, I think)... anyway, last time, it was the fuel pump relay AND the fuel filter... haven't had a problem in over a wk! ... ok, kidding in over 4-5 months....

It's the crank angle sensor. Why don't you pull a plug first and make sure you have spark?

I checked with a timing light and I'm getting spark at the plugs.

Maybe that's why ?

update

I only checked at plug number one using an inductive timing light.
when the coil fires the light flashes so I know voltage is getting to number on plug. I never thought of checking any others since i assumed if number one is working the rest would also . If the other coils were bad the car would have run rough or something before this not starting happened.
I am going to change the fuel filter tomorrow . It just seems to me to be a last resort kind of thing since it quit starting after it had been running so well .

Thanks again everyone and i'll keep looking back for any other ideas .

Al.

My car did this, First unplug the mass air sensor. It will run without it, believe me. If it starts thats the first thing to replace. But if you replace it and continue to have problems, its most definitly your engine wiring harness.
Hope this helps!
Chris
