Removing front seat, W124
Searched on this, but didn't find anything --
I'm trying to remove my driver's seat to be able to bring it inside to do some upholstery work. I removed the 4 bolts easily enough, but couldn't figure out how to disconnect 3 of the 4 electrical cables to the seat. The thick cable, in particular, just seems to disappear into a black plastic box under the seat. CD-ROM isn't helpful as it assumes you have manually-adjusted seats. Any hints on unplugging these wires? Thanks, Steve '93 400E |
Just did this Steve, when I did the evaporator, passenger side that is, and all the plugs had obvious triggers. Maybe the drivers side is different.

PJG,
Thanks for posting. This is embarassing! I looked and looked, tilted the seat forward and back, and still can't figure the darn thing out. I'm obviously missing something obvious Have to try it again and do it outside when weather warms up-- maybe better light will help. |
They all unplug easily, you are missing the obvious
