84 Mercedes 380se idle problem
 
I have an idle problem. So far I think its the idle control box. I have just finished re-soldering the unit. I have read that there is a fuse somewhere. Where? Thanks Karl

I can't help you Carl, but you can help me...Where is the idle control box located on a 1984-380SE...Jim

My box was located dead center of the engine compartment in the firewall area.

I stripped one down about a year and a 1/2 ago and I might still have it but I do not remember what it looks like and I don't remember anything near the center of the firewall...thanks for your reply....Jim

On the 85, it was dead center between the two firewalls. About the size of a sandwich.
