electronic fuel controller

the electronic fuel controller on my 84 500 sel just shorted and died. Its a grey market import and the controller was made by 'precision'. I cannot seem to find a replacement anywhere. Any suggestions?

Do you live in an area where smog testing is done?? IF not then disconnect the computer & the wiring to the ADDED in-line injector.

Thanks. Unfortunately, SMOG is an issue: Is there a stock part to do this job that I can get my hands on?

Nope! those systems were "cheap" add-ons to pass the EPA requirements 20 years ago in the GREY-MARKET hay-days.

Might try the used parts section here!! Post a request for that part.

So this is just an add-on? If I can drive it out of the shop back home I can spend time finding that replacement part. Anything else I need to know about disconnecting?
