Need help(instructions) on removal of rear door inside pannel on a 96 s sedan. The door handel came loose and I'll have to get inside the door to fix It. There are no clues just looking at It as to how it comes apart!!! Thanks, Ron Conrad

Sneaky Germans

To get at some bolts you have to remove the seat control panel. The front of the panel is held by a blade spring, very difficult to ge yuout withou chapping the panel. Th rear is held by two arms that swivel and the best wat to rotate is a plastic knife or a feeler guage to rotate them out of position and the panel will pivot out and be released. There might be screws in the opening armrest ( if you got it) hidden behind plugs the panel pops off after the traditional fasteners, plastic putty knife, or tool. It lifts up check for wires. rotate the little catches insert first and snap panel back in when finished

140 owners can chime in, but if it's the OUTside door handle that is loose, I don't believe the interior panel needs to be removed at all. Confused on what handle is loose.

If it is the outside door handle that is loose, I believe he just assumes the inner door panel needs to be removed, which I believe is false. I think it's done through a hole in the edge of the door, possibly hidden under the door weatherstrip.
