I just recently bought a pair of front and rear flex disc for my 87 300e. I tried replacing them by myself but overcame a couple of obstacles. First the rear disc bolts came out easy but didn't know how to remaove it. Second the front disc was to much trouble just by looking at it. The transmission mount was in the way and I couldn't get to the bolts. I have a couple of question regarding how to fix replace these disc. First do I have to remove the transmission mounts and how do I get to the bolts in the front. For the back how do I get the drive shaft out of the disc. thanks for your replies.

Along the driveshaft you will find a large nut that you need to loosen. This will allow you to slightly shorten the driveshaft which will allow you to remove the flexdisc.

Larry I am still having trouble replacing the disc. I some how can't get to the front disc, not a lot of room to play with. What do I need to do to get to the bolts on the front. I able to get the bolts out of the back ones but some how the driveshaft is holding the disc in place how do I remove the driveshaft to pop out the back disc. Thanks Larry.
