Arrow Possible electrical problem!

I have no experience in this model of MB, but I wonder if you have an electrical problem caused by the accident. Either a short that popped a fuse or damaged a relay. Take a hard look at the fuse box and all the fuses. Was the accident hard enough to cut any wire looms passing under the car?

If you have a multi meter check the fuse tabs to ground for voltage. Pull the relays that feed the fuel system, like the OVP relay. give them a shake and see if they rattle. I don't know where it is on your model but it has an American style fuse on the top of it laying flat. See picture below. This relay protects most of the fuel system components. Relays are top heavy in an impact accident and can jump out.

Also all the electrical connectors to all the fuel components. Cold start is most likely OK but the idle control relay, and injection components. I don't know how hard of a hit it had, but sudden stops and impact jerks can shake things loose with there own weight from G force. Also walk thru the vacuum lines one can pop off from impact. The longer the line the more likely it might jump from an impact directly in the opposite direction from where the connector points. (Did I explain this so you are able to follow me?)

A had a vacuum line pop off the tranny from an accident some time ago and it took me a few minutes to figure out why it would not shift when I was leaving the body shop.
