I need some help with checking the fuel pressure
 

I'd like to check the fuel pressure on my 92 300e. What type of fuel pressure tester should I get, and what's the best way to connect it?

This may not apply to you. My apologies if it doesn't. I can't remeber if your '92 is CIS-E of LH.

If CIS-E, the following site shows a pressure tester designed for CIS-E. Not suggesting you buy from these guys - just throwing up some info.

I haven't had to go down this road yet, but my investigation reveals that CIS-E system use a special fuel pressure gauge. Maybe that's malarky and I need to dig more.

I have the M103 engine with the CIS-E. That just looks like a regular engine compression tester with a special fitting?

I'm interested in where to connect the tester. It seems as though you could separately test the pumps, the pressure regulator, accumulator, and fuel distributer by placing the pressure tester in different locations, each one possibly requiring a different 'T' style fitting, and each location would have an expected pressure. I'd LOVE to get an electronic one that changes resistance based on fuel pressure, then I could monitor the pressure while I test drive the car.

As indicated at the URL above, this device is not a compression tester. It's a CIS fuel system tester. Look at all of the attachments.

baumtools.com has a similar tool. I believe the part # is 8034-3.

You might try contacting them and see what the story is on all of the fittings.

Could be what you are looking for.
