Stupid me washed my engine know car runs like $hit

like it says I just bought a 94 C280 with 85K miles a couple weeks ago I thought I would detail the motor to make look nice and ever since then my car jerks when I'm stopped with it in drive. especially if you let the brake off to coast at 2-5mph. it really jerks, It feels like a cylinder isn't hitting or something, so I checked for water in the spark plugs that could of leaked in, and sure enough #4 I think, had about a inch of water in it, so I dried it out good. Though 100% I fixed the problem but nope it still is doing it, so I took it apart again and took out the plug but it looked fine, I have no clue what the problem is and I hate to take it to the $tealership if I don't have to????? Please help

My father's '93 E320 coupe (similar M104 to your car) needed a new engine wiring harness after an engine wash. The wash was obviously the "final straw" for a harness on its way out. Have a look at the insulation on the wiring to the ignition coils near the spark plugs. If it is crumbling then I would suggest the harness is your problem. It will have cracked insulation which the water has got into. Do a search here on "engine wiring harness". A well known problem on many MB models from about '93 to '95. Suppressor boots that fit onto the spark plugs are also known to fail on these engines.

Pull all the plugs and inspect them closely. The insulators on one or more plugs may be cracked. Hopefully that's the problem and not the wiring harness ... big $$$.

Pull off the air intake ducting, the black plastic plate on the valve cover, and check the last (#6) spark plug hole, it'll be full of water.

just stumbled across a blurb in the CD-ROM:
Implausable road speed signal -
Jerking while vehicle moving and throttle valve closed

inspect the X11 pin #3 after driving vehicle with the DMM. If duty cycle stuck at constant 60% then the fault is found.

Right, right, either that or he filled up a spark plug hole with water when he washed his engine..........
