PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum - How to remove front bumper chrome cover?

I'm trying to replace the front chrome bumper cover on my 1988 560SL and having trouble. I got the side plastic bumper protectors off, slid off the rubber moulding, but I can't seem to remove the two protruding black stubs, not sure what they're called. Took the one bolt off the bottom of each and tried to pull them but can't get them to budge, they twist slightly but that's all. I have to get them off in order to take the chrome off and put the new one on. My 107 service disk is of no help. I don't want to pry them off and do damage. Seems like it should be a fairly easy but this one's got me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
