Brake rotor specs for '89 560SL
 

I can't find the rotor thickness spec anywhere (the Chilton's I have doesn't list those specs for the 560SL, just 450 and below, go figure) and cannot see any #'s cast into the rotor itself on the visible areas (rotor still mounted). I wasn't planning on pulling the rotors today, was just checking on their general health but I have nothing to compare to.

I get .726" on the fronts and .381" on the rears. I'm certain the fronts are due for replacement but am not sure about the rears. Can anyone tell me what the specs are?

OK, answered my own question. Finally found the specs after some deeper searching and as I suspected, the fronts are gone SPEC=.764" vs. actual of .726"

rears seem OK with a SPEC=.327 vs. actual of .381"

just thought I would share.
