Mercedes E300TD leekdown
diesel leekdown
My 99 E300TD is hard starting after a day or more sitting. I think the fuel is leeking back to the tank. Does anyone know if there is a backflow preventer and where it it? 99E300TD 165K 97E300Diesel 73K 89 Toyota PU 189K 84 Porsche Turbo 50K Last edited by nohuti; 04-03-2005 at 03:46 PM. |

Do a search on the diesel forum. I know the clear fuel lines will leak and cause this.
1998 E300 TD EGR Issue Check out post 36.

Replace all the o-rings to all the plastic fuel hoses. Some leak externally and some suck air. Touch any of them and they will do something different tomorrow.

Thank you Steve. I am sure you are right. I bought a new prestrainer and when I tryed to replace it the o ring was hard but ther new strainer did not come with a new o ring. The rest of them will be the same. Thank you again.
