Transmission for 88 300SEL
 

I am looking for a replacement transmission for my 88 300sel. Do you know whether a transmssion from a 190E would fit?

I have been told that transmissions are not swappable. You could probaby bolt a different transmission to you car, but the settings won't match. Best thing to do is to see the part number on your transmission and get one that is the same, if you are considering getting a used one.

I think in 1988 there were 2 different transmissions for you car. Not 100% sure though.

I bought a used transmission from a guy in Texas 2 years ago and have been satisfied with it. He was very reasonable and easy to deal with. If you would like his name, number, and address let me know.
