Can European style headlights be replaced with standard type ? If so, what parts,etc... would have to be replaced ?

yes. do some searches and you will find more info on this than you need. the headlights are direct swap. keeping wipers requires more parts or some work.

We just purchased the car and the right European headlight reflector is all discolored. I have not seen a replacement reflector but have seen several headlamps that fit standard assembly. I really like the European style but they are quite expensive, at least the one's I have been able to find.

Several years ago these people were able to order replacement reflectors, lenses, whatever for damaged Euro lights. Might be worth a try. If you really want US lights, I have a pair with wiper motors, blades that I have been thinking about selling. But personally, I prefer the increased lighting from the Euros, if you can get them fixed.

New US assembly and new Euro assembly are about the same price if you get Hella or Bosch (which I would recommend). Past about 95, only the Euro style was used, even in the US.

Stay with the Euro style, the DOT ones are about the equivalent of using a two cell flashlight to drive by.

That is exactly what I need. These are the first one's I have seen. I have been looking at parts on internet but have not been able to find them.
