re installing sunroof headliner
 

i tell ya. what a pain in the rump. i removed the sunroof headliner on my beautiful 1979 300sd and i cant seem to get it back without bending the frame of the insert. if anyone has a trick please help. ps anyone know of a way to lower this car other that 15-16 or 17 inch wheels. thanks all for your help.

p.s. this car is a 2 owner car with that i have 21000.00 in receipts in the past 4 years. factory motor from germany everything under the hood is new. will most likely sell can anyone give me a idea of what it should be worth. car has 221000 engine is 18 mos and 20000 miles old

I can help a little with lowering. I brought the front end of my 82 300CD down 3 inches and have 17" Mercedes wheels on it. See the picture in my signature.

For the sunroof liner, you have to open the roof about halfway and slide the liner in from the outside.

You probably have to remove the chrome rails to get the headliner back in properly. If so, dont' move the slotted screws at the front, they are the height adjustment. Just take out the crosshead screws.
