Question remove dr. ft. seat wiring

Saw a post from 400E on removing driver's front seat wiring bundle, the large black-taped(sticky)one. Someone told him it was obvious, where the connector was I assume. I emailed him and asked how he did it. He said he's not been able to do it and to post another thread asking for help. Where is the connector located, if there is one and/or how to you remove front seat when only that wire bundle is holding it in? Thanks. Docrankin Car is a MB 300E 1990 sedan.

400e front seat wiring

As luck would have it, I had mine (92 400e) apart yesterday. The pigtail comes from under the carpet and up to the seat. There are two minor connectors that are in the middle of the wires that are pretty obvious. The thick bundle you were referring to goes into the center of the seat, and to two connectors mounted to the seat hardware. If you loosen the vinyl cover under the front edge of the seat, you can see them. Fortunately, I ended up not having to disconnect them, but you can do it from the front side. I don't think there is a connector under the floor.

just a little more help please

I have 3 wires coming up from the floorboard under the driver's seat: 2 wire SRS(Red)connector; 2 wire seatbelt?(black)connector; and a 20 wire, give or take, large black bundle. The two 2 wire connectors I've got apart, but the black goes up into what I believe is a memory module, I have the power seats with memory, and just before the module splits into 3 smaller bundles with each smaller bundle going up on top of the module, just under the seat i.e. very hard to access. These are the connectors I would like to know how to get apart.
I was trying to save the upholstey shop a little hassle and take my seat in to them to repair. Anyway, can anyone tell me what those 3 connectors are like and if that's how to finish the disassembly. The shop manual I have doesn't address power seats, just the manual. Thanks again.

Mea Culpa

If you take the rear seat bolts out last the seat is in the forward position, which makes getting to much less touching the 3 wire connectors very hard. As soon as I moved the seat backward the connectors were easy to see and access.
I've learned a lot from all of you on other problems, but stumbled on to this. Docrankin
