560 sel ride height

I just replaced my accumulators on my 87 560. The tell tale sea foam came out of the old cells so I know they were gone. After successfully putting the new ones on and topping up the fluid with MB approved, the ride got a little softer but the back end is still sagging very low. I actually took the ajustable rod out of the height controller and manually moved the bar as high as it would go and as low as it would go. All I got out of this was about a 1 inch rise in the hight of the car. The pump is working fine as I can open the bleeder and fresh fluid is bled out.

If anyone out there can guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. If it is the level controller, what will one of them run me and are they easy to install?

Thanks

Jamie.
