Mann vs OEm cabin filter
 

Anyone compare a Mann cabin filter to a OEM Mercedes Benz filter?

The Mann filter is a cardboard framed light weight, quality seems questionable.

In the past the Mercedes packaged cabin filter was a quality product, and I assume still is.

What is the story behind Mann? is it junk?

Mann was easy to install, directions included.Took about 10 minutes the first time. Good quality filter. Use them for my C280.

There is a hugh difference in the heavy casing of the OEM compared to the Mann. I think also a hugh price difference between the expensive OEM at the dealer and Mann.

I've used Mann oil filters which seemed good and the air filters seemed similar to the OEM air filter. But the cabin filter seemed ultra-flimsy.
I guess the filter element is the important part.

Is Mann a bargin purveyor for the price conscious? Is Mann quality good?

Right now the market for cabin filters is WIDE open!
Since most cars require less & less service parts, oil/air/fuel filters the filter companies need ways to re-coup the lost $$$$$$$$$$. Cabin filters are one of those ways.

The Mann version is OK but not even close to OE quality!

For OE quality look for "Micron air" OR "Helsa" brands! They are available in the aftermarket!
