Intermitent noise from airflow vent fan. Appears to require lubing. Can anyone tell me where the fan is located and how to get at it.

I see no one has responded, so maybe I'll give some put.

On many of the MB cars the blower motor for the HVAC is under the passenger side glove compartment. If you look at the top of the footwell you may find access screws to get into the space.

Does the noise seem to be coming from that footwell area?

also mercedes has a tech website, I forget the name, something like startekinfo.com where you can buy online time to search repair manuals

unless you mean the engine suction fan... they can tend to get noisy at times.
