Considering selling my 86 300E 5-speed

I am considering selling my 86 300E with five speed manual, cabernet red/palomino mbtex, 121k miles. It is in excellent condition but I am disappointed to find edmunds web site listing its value at only $3600. I was hoping to get much more for it and looking for opinions. Recent pictures are in the detailing forum five speed roll call. Thanks.

i had a 86 300E 5 spd. with 183K in very good condition

sold in the auto trader in 2 weeks for 3000 bucks . i think 2000-4000 is the most you can get for a 300E, but the 5 spd will make it sell quick where the autos will take a yr or so to sell or maybe never

good luck

Thanks for responding Dave. If I can't get at least $5000 for it I'll probably keep it.

I think I would keep it since it is a five-speed.... there is a limited, but very loyal group to the five speed.... I think it would be cool to own one....

There was a nice 5 speed here in Phoenix a few months ago, with low miiles, that went for about $2,000. He just couldn't find a buyer and it was a nice car. It's a narrow market - few buyers, few sellers - in which you often have to be patient to do well.

Thanks to all for the feedback. I have owned the car for 15 years and have become very attached to the car. My decision is to hold on to it.
