Failed State Inspection

Failed today for 2 items:

-Passenger side motor mount

-Center muffler

Do you usually replace the mounts in pairs, or just replace the bad one?

The passenger side is the easy one. You might want to just do it as I dont think their is a balance issue like suspension or brake parts.

If your rear muffler is the same age as the center one (center one is more difficult to replace than the rear) you might want to replace the rear muffler at the same time. It has recieved the same amount of years/abuse as the center one and you might get a discount buying both at once.
When I replaced my rear muffler I bought the center muffler at the same time and ended up replacing it within the year.

Good luck.

Thanks for the pointers. The engine mount sounds simple and cheap enough. The exhaust system may be a different story though. Guess its time to crawl underneath and see whats hopelessly rusted together.

Sounds like you've got the general idea.

The tools that finnaly worked for me were a cut-off disc and a drill bit.

Good thing is, once the center muffler is off, beer tastes even better.
