I got my small tube at the dealer. I still have lots left.

I'm not sure about product number, but I bought mine either at True Value hardware or one of the auto parts chains (Napa, Advance).
If I remember correctly, they had two types: Red/permanent strength, and blue/removable strength. According to the Loctite web site, the product numbers you're looking for (Loctite 5900/5970) are not automotive grade. Jeff Pierce |
Take a look at McMaster Carrs do a search on loctite 5900. Good company, quick service with reasonable prices & very fast shipping.

>> I believe you are referring to Loctite thread lock. The 5900 is a gasket sealant.. different product/application,, |
Ahh... right you are Arthur. Thread lock is their only product I'm familiar with.

Loctite 5900 is a black goo used to seal the front cover on an M103. The dealer sells a small tube which is more than adequate to seal many M103 covers.

well guys, I went ahead and ordered a tube from McMaster Carr (a company we work with extensivly at work) as per nglitz's recomendation. I realize that I'm going to have enough to do a fleet of cars, but thats okay. Thanks for all the input.
