1998 slk230 flasher dead
 

The turn signals and the emergency flasher on my 1998 slk230 quit working. The lights just stay on. Is it the flasher relay, or could it be something else? If it is the flasher relay, where can I find one (without going to the dealer, who charge an arm and a leg), and is it difficult to replace? :confused:

how about when you set the alarm, do they flash normally then? does the alarm and central locking work properly? has the windows ever lowered by themselves? i think there may be more to it than a flasher.

Following up on your question I went out to the garage to check - - - and now everything functions just fine! This is really weird, or maybe it is a symptom of something else. Any ideas? :confused:
