Coolant low? How low is low? & temp
Great, got water pump replaced 2 weeks ago (see attached thread), new belt, hoses, mb clear fluid...
Observations since then: 1. Temp hovers towards 100 c (not over 100c vs closer to the previous 80 with the original pump. While 100c seems ok, it is operating hotter than before. 2. Fluid seems to be down about an inch . Hasn't gone down further. I don't know if it just went down to that level and I should just let it be or there's still a problem. Any ideas? I don't want to spend another $$ on another gallon of MB fluid to refill if I dont' have to. The temp issue, I assume the original MB one performs better than this Laso(>?) one... Antifreeze resorvoir needs fluid ... W124

100C in stop-n-go driving might be one thing; 100C on the highway is another. I would consider the latter to be too hot.
If your overflow tank is an inch low and it's not dropping, just top it off with some distilled H2O if you choose to; else use tap water.

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking, just a "burp"... On the highway it goes down.... Will closely monitor it the next few days...
